This fading does not detract from the beauty of the art form at all; it fact most pressed botanicals become more valuable over time. Changes in color are a function of the physical properties of the plant material, outdoor conditions before harvesting, art placement, and the specific conditions of that location. Specimens should be stored or displayed in a climate-controlled environment and away from exposure to direct sunlight and extremes in humidity. It is recommended that all artwork be framed with UV protected glass.
